Located in Manning, this was one of few decorative style subways constructed between Green Island and Manilla.
Built during the line change in 1913, the bridge features two concrete slab spans, set onto concrete substructures. The pier is decorative, and the spans feature an early art deco design.
Unlike many subways along the realignment, this is one of the few decorative spans. It was likely designed to be decorative due to being located in a town.
May Street no longer runs under the bridge, and has not in many years. However, the bridge remains largely unchanged with even the original pipe railing still intact.

Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition, with some deterioration to the northeast wing wall.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the old age and common design.
